New Media Challenge #001 – Introduce Yourself
Ok everyone, this is a chance to start using your New Media skills!
Remember back at our first face-to-face meeting, I said New Media was “…all about the doing.” Well, this is your chance to “DO” something. Don’t fret, though, it isn’t difficult although it might be a little scary, if you haven’t done it before.
New Media Challenge #001 – Introduce Yourself
Your task, “should you choose to accept it” † is to simply introduce yourself. This can be in the form of audio, video, photos with audio, photos essay, photo essay with text…pretty much whatever you want, as long as it uses some form of new media. It can be fully produced, or recorded “LIVE to tape”. Record it on your computer, portable audio recorder, camcorder, online video site, Utterz.com, whatever you have available. If you have questions, send them to the list and we will work through them together.
Hint: Sign up for a free account at http://utterz.com and you can record audio or video directly to their site…or even from your cell phone or use QuickCapture at YouTube.
Send a link to your finished introduction to this list at newmediainterchange@googlegroups.com or post the link as a comment using the Comment link below .
This challenge ends on September 25, 2008 as I would like to highlight some of these introductions during our September 25th meeting. I would like to post some or all of them to the New Media Interchange blog and podcast.
† Bonus Points: Which television show does this phrase come from?
Good Luck and Start Doing Today!
